The “Lehre bei INNIO” AR app is aimed at potential new apprentices. A combination of high-end visuals and playful discovery lay at the heart of AR experience. The gamified application process serves to spark interest and attract new talents. Augmented content allows a deeper level of interaction and informs apprentices-to-be about the opportunities INNIO has to offer.

Expanding upon the traditional approach of using printed media to inform potential applicants, the app provides an extra digital content layer to the physical leaflet. With a combination of gamification and AR, the result not only wows the target group of 15 – 17-year-old teens but also provides a certain challenge. In the beginning, most of the content is locked. It can only be unlocked by finishing a series of mini-games involving INNIO Jenbacher’s core product gas engines.
Throughout the experience, users earn a currency called megawatts and spend them gradually unlocking new content like additional engines, quizzes, puzzles, or videos. Every collected achievement brings users closer to the ultimate goal of unlocking the “Bewerbung PLUS” feature. This feature gives an edge in the real-life job application.


MEDIASQUAD GmbH is an award-winning studio that specializes in creating sophisticated AR-based experiences and VR based trainings and installations. Coming from the game development, 3D visualization, and VFX, the company’s apps feature a combination of smart gamification elements, intuitive UX design, and high-end graphics.
