THE COMPANY
Ellen Digital Ventures is a joint venture firm between Warner Bros. Television Group and famous American comedian and TV host, Ellen DeGeneres. The venture was created to extend Ellen’s TV franchise to digital, social and gaming audiences across multiple media platforms.
The prime-time game show, NBC’s “Ellen’s Game of Games”, has expanded beyond the traditional TV show format with an AR app which allows users to play along during broadcast and also when the show is off the air.

For those who tune in each week to “Ellen’s Game of Games” on NBC, and use the app’s special feature “Game of Games Play Along Live!” – with the use of augmented reality technology, the prizes jump right off the player’s screen and into their phone!
Throughout the show, Ellen DeGeneres puts presents on the screen. When users see one, they must point their phone’s camera at the screen and tap the box to collect a clue. As soon as users can guess the sentence, they can submit their answer for a chance to be the big winner.
