US-based dried fruit and snack company Fruit Bliss uses augmented reality (AR) to inform and communicate with customers through interactive product packaging.


Fruit Bliss creates wholesome snacks with simple ingredients. Their organic sun-ripened Rehydrated Dried Fruit selection goes through an innovative steaming process that infuses it with water. The company started as one health-minded mom’s mission for clean snacking for her on-the-go family.

The company wanted to create a closer, more personal relationship with its customers. The goal was to implement an innovative medium that could enable real-time updates of offers, news, product info and other content in the form of video, images, links and more. All-in-all, Fruit Bliss wanted to expand communication beyond the physical borders of their product packaging.

This innovative AR solution, AKA “the upgraded email newsletter”, allows users to unlock augmented content in the form of news, info, social media links, newsletter invites, special offers, and more.

Customers should simply download the free Fruit Bliss Interactive AR app and use their smart device camera to scan product packaging that will then trigger the AR experience.

Constantia Flexibles is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of flexible packaging. The group supplies its products to numerous multinational corporations and local market leaders in the food, pet food and pharmaceuticals industries. They have been working with augmented reality since 2017.


This AR feature is used to detect, track and digitally augment 2D images – ideal for augmenting customized image targets, magazines, books, user manuals, packaging, catalogs, coasters, gaming cards, and much more.
