Innovative brand Lime Crime revolutionizes the beauty industry with interactive augmented reality cosmetics
THE GOAL
- Make cosmetic products come to life creating a unique AR experience
Lime Crime, the cosmetic and hair color brand known for its vibrant, cruelty-free and vegan makeup products, wanted to revolutionize the beauty industry. The goal was to entertain, educate and add a personal touchpoint for Lime Crime to further connect with both customers and those experiencing the brand for the first time.

AR app: Lime Crime [ App Store ]
The Lime Crime app activates AR experiences using the Venus XL 2 Palette, Softwear Blush box and compact, and the Lime Crime gondolas located inside every Riley Rose retailer.
The product experiences will show Venus coming to life directly on the eyeshadow palette box, speaking of key features and showing a series of makeup tutorials. The Softwear Blush shows an interactive hologram flower experience on both the box and compact mirror. The in-store experience works on specific in-store displays to reveal more information about the products.
