Visitors scan images of the artist at different moments of her career to reveal unique and immersive content

THE COMPANY

  • Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA)
  • INA is a repository of all French radio and television audiovisual archives. Additionally, it provides free access to archives of countries such as Afghanistan and Cambodia. Since 2006, it has enabled free online consultation through a search tool in the ina.fr website, indexing hundreds of thousands of archives of historical programs, summing a total of 20,000 hours.

    THE GOAL

  • Offer engaging and immersive storytelling
  • The Barbara exhibition was planned to be showcased in the outdoors, directly on the fences of the Palais Brongniart in Paris. The organizers of the exhibition wanted to capture passerby’s attention by showcasing images and inviting people to use their smartphones to get the full story.

    THE SOLUTION

  • Eye-catching photos enhanced with AR
  • AR app: Barbara, du bout des lèvres [ Google PlayApp Store ]

By downloading the Barbara exposition AR app, users could scan the singer’s photos displayed outside of the building to view valuable and interactive content without the need for audio guides, informational booklets, pamphlets, or any other material provided by INA. The augmentations varied between special photo effects, videos, interviews, music, and more.

The AR Image Tracking feature was a success and represented 30% of the overall app traffic, having the highest engagement level among all the features of the app.
