Yahya ibn Ma'in (Arabic: يحيى بن معين) , Abu Zakarya Yahya ibn Ma'in/Mu`in.
He was a close friend of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal; however Ahmad stopped speaking to him after the ordeal of the Mu'tazilities, for Yahya had not joined Ahmad in speaking out against their theological heresies.
He is often quoted regarding Ilm ar-Rijal [7]
