Choose your source format

Wikitude’s backend system DevZone supports a number of ways to easily integrate your content and publish it within the Wikitude App

You can start with KML files to integrate geo-referenced Points Of Interest (for example from Google Earth). ARML files, either hosted on Wikitude’s DevZone or set-up as a web service to your server make your content even more engaging and informative. As a third option, Augmented Reality experiences based on Wikitude’s ARchitect Engine (HTML5, JavaScript) benefit from full flexibility in design and advanced interaction options.

Configure and Preview your World

Wikitude’s DevZone guides you through the set-up of your World

Log-into DevZone and select the Publish option from the menu. Choose Create World which will open up a 4-step wizard helping you in setting up your new World. Once your set-up is complete and your World is registered with our backend system, you can test and preview your World.
After hitting Save the DevZone assigns a unique Developer Key to your World, which you can use to preview your World in Wikitude app, while your World is still in Draft mode. Launch the Wikitude app and open developer settings, where you enter the Developer Key. Your World will then show up in Wikitude World Browser only for you.

Publish it

As a last step go back to DevZone and set the status of your World to Published

Your World will then be discoverable for every user of the Wikitude app through “All Worlds” or the categories you have selected for your World.

Promote it

Tell your users about your Wikitude World and let them experience your content

AR Link Your Developer Key also plays an essential role when it comes to promoting your World on your mobile webpages. Include Wikitude’s AR link to launch a Wikitude World directly from your mobile webpage. A detailled guide is available in our documentation on How to link to your World
