Mobilizy – Launches WIKITUDE.me and Developer API

Mobilizy GmbH introduces enhancements to its award winning WIKITUDE Mobile AR Platform, focusing on end users and opening up an application-programming interface (API) for developers. The enhanced WIKITUDE Mobile AR Platform consists of three components:

1. WIKITUDE World Browser – The original mobile AR browser and travel guide.
2. WIKITUDE.me – Wiki-tag your world (user generated geo-tagging portal)

WIKITUDE World Browser: (currently available for Android) can be used to view any geo-tagged content in an augmented reality (AR) view. Wikitude World Browser presents the user with data about their surroundings, nearby landmarks, and other points of interest by overlaying information on the real-time camera view of a smartphone. 2.) WIKITUDE.me: “Geo-tag your world” You can add your own content, fast & easy and geo-tag the world with the WIKITUDE and display it in an augmented experience on mobile phones using the WIKITUDE World Browser. Also, you can register XML data and larger, more dynamic content sources by contacting Mobilizy directly. 3.) WIKITUDE API: Build your own Augmented Reality application using the Wikitude API. Our API is a powerful application-programming interface, which allows for the open development of markerless AR (Augmented Reality) experiences. After working for various companies including KPMG Consulting and Sony DADC he founded Mobilizy GmbH, a software startup specializing in Augmented Reality software for smartphones.
