Martin Herdina to speak at Startup Week 2011

From 3rd – 7th October 2011 festival-feeling will encompass Vienna, Austria, as Europe’s first ever Startup Conference is scheduled to take place over 5 days, with 50 startups, 70 international speakers, 100 investors and a 1000 guests. Wikitude’s very own CEO, Martin Herdina, will be presenting at the event and is looking forward to participating in the international platform for startups and young entrepreneurs from Central and Eastern Europe. Martin is in good company, other speakers include Morten Lund, Esther Dyson and Christian Hernandez, and will be speaking to budding entrepreneurs about lessons he has learnt whilst building up and developing startup companies, including Wikitude.

Martin is “delighted to be part of this exciting event and I am looking forward to sharing my hands-on experiences, some do’s and don’t's and helpful anecdotes with this great crowd of young enterpreneurs attending the Startup Week 2011.”

Alongside the main programme, 12 focus events in locations around Vienna have been planned from workshops to live-streams and lectures on current hot topics such as design, digital media, gaming, heath 2.0 and social enterprise. 50 startups from all over Europe will be challenged to perfect their pitches, vying to be one of the 10 finalists to present their innovative idea in front of a top class investor panel as part of the Startup Challenge on 3rd and 4th October.

Tickets to the Startup Week 2011 are still available and Wikitude looks forward to seeing you there!
